It was presentation night this week at one of Association Soccer’s affiliate leagues and division two winners Sneyd Originals were the team with most to celebrate.
The young team, who had always struggled in the past, have worked hard to improve their skills and it finally paid off as they took the silverware.
They just prevailed in a tight race at the top of the table which saw four sides in with a chance of taking the title, but Originals hung on.
The eight friends from Walsall in the West Midlands will now compete in division one of the 24 team league and will hope to continue their fine form.
League Manager, Chris Clarkson, who conducted the presentation, said he was thrilled to give the team their trophies and added: “The lads love 6 a side football and they have really played superbly this season. You can see by the joy on their faces how much it meant to them.″
