Blue Arrows Otopeni fly to National Championship in Romania

On May 30th the minifootball championship finished in Ilfov county too, which is one of the new leagues organized for the second year by the Romanian Minifootball Federation.
The winner of this championship is Săgețile Albastre Otopeni (translation: Blue Arrows Otopeni). Some days ago the players of this team celebrated the first title in their history. Săgețile Albastre will represent the competition in the regional phase of the National Minifootball Champioship which be held between July 5-8 in Deva for the sixth edition.
In the prequalification phase which will be organized in Buzau on June 24th, Sagetile Albastre Otopeni will play in the same group against the winner teams from Dambovita and Valcea county.
Cora Pantelimon won the second place in the competition in Ilfov county and will participate in the Romanian Minifootball Cup which be held in Iasi, between June 28 – July 1st.
Best goalkeeper: Dumitru Nicolae (ADEX Modelcom)
Best player: Marian Caldararu (Săgețile Albastre Otopeni)
Fair Play Award: Smiley Otopeni
Administratively, Romania is divided into 41 counties and one municipality (Bucharest). The Romanian Minifootball Federation organizes local championships in 36 counties and for 2013 the national federation wants to cover all the country.
