Former Dinamo Zagreb, FC Benfica, FC Porto and Lokeren player Tomo Šokota joins minifootball championship in Croatia capital Zagreb.

Minifootball Project in Croatia is becoming increasingly popular; it is not surprising for the 10 cities that have joined the Croatian championship: Zagreb, Sisak, Slavonski Brod, Đakovo, Ivanec Maruševec, Varazdin, Koprivnica and Rijeka. In the last few weeks has shown an interest in engaging the several cities, and the number will be even higher.

Also, there is an increasing interest in the media and so minifootball in Croatia is now monitored by all major media. But what is more important player wants to participate in a contest, fight Croatian league title and qualify for the national team through the Croatian Championship. Many former professional players want to be part of this project as well, so the jersey of minifootball team Svačka in Zagreb championship decided to put the former Dinamo Zagreb, FC Benfica, FC Porto and Lokeren striker Tomo Šokota. In premiere performance the player who scored two goals in 8 caps for Croatian national team for Croatian sports television (SPTV) said: ″I welcome this project. Finally I enjoy playing on a green field with my team and all the praise to the organizers, people who want to show what they know can do it here. The dream of every player′s play for the national team, and all those who deserve it can fullfil this dream here.″

Steps of Tomislav Sokota went also former Dinamo Zagreb player Sandi Hudorović, and former Croatian football Cup winner Nikica Miletic who perform in jersey of Meteora Production also in Zagreb championship.

Minifootball wins the hearts of many amateur players, but also of those who once played on the big ground, so we will not be surprised even some new great football name put on the jersey of the Croatian minifootball teams in the near future.
