Timisoara: A story with Iosif Rotariu

Iosif Rotariu is a name that has much renown in Romanian football. He was a legend. Now Rotariu is 50 years old and he was one of the players of the Romanian national football team in 1990 in the World Cup. He played several years at the high level for Poli Timisoara, Steaua Bucharest or Galatasaray Istanbul. In 1989 he played in the European Cup final against AC Milan at Camp Nou. In his career, Rotariu knew the success, but he did not forget to be human.

Now he has come back at the first love, minifootball and he is playing in Romania in the minifootball championship for AM Timisoara in the second league. His team have real opportunities for the next year to play in the first league of the local minifootball championship. ”These guys are exceptional, serious and professional and it is a real honour and pleasure for all of us when Rotariu is on the field”, said Alin Radosav, the manager of the minifootball championship.
