Last seasons winners one of the dozens and dozens of teams who have entered the UK 6 a side Championships.

Reading, led by Rohan Burke, scooped the prize last year with the competition under its previous name, but now they are back to defend their crown. The team – who beat a team from Northwich in the final by the only goal of the game – have signed up to take part in the tournament, which is now less than six months away.

UKMA’s Head Of Communications Philip Stevens, welcomed them and said they were worthy champions last time: “They were a tremendous team, and we look forward to seeing if they can retain the trophy.”

The tournament will take place on 8th June 2013 at the Moor Lane Pavilion in Birmingham. It will be bigger than ever this time around, with in excess of 300 teams expected to attend.
