“Amigos” from Athens is the Greek champion for the season 2011-2012. The final show of the N’JOY UNI-League took place on Sunday 27th. The best teams from all over Greece came as local champions to Athens in order to participate in the Final – 16 Phase. Each team played 4 games in 3 days and tried to win the golden medal! Every match was so difficult and so strong that nobody could tell from the beginning which team was the favorite.
If we had to choose one match, the most amazing one, that would definitely be the semi-final between Amigos (Athens champion) and Spe Strovolou (Nicosia champion). Amigos won the match (score 3-2) and their last winning goal came at the last second of the match: It was unbelievable and the Cypriots players could not even breathe after that. All the spectators could not believe it. Spe Strovolou is the team coming form Cyprus (Cypriot champion), as happens every year. Finally they reached the 3rd position, exactly as in the previous year. At the Big Final, Amigos played against Ramrod 2 FC, and even if everybody thought that Amigos would easily win, they did it but not so easily… The final score was 3-1 and the score was 2-1 for about 45 minutes (50 in total).
We can say many things about the Final, about the event and about the happenings that the organizers arranged for the spectators and for the participants. More than 400 people attended the game even thogh it was a rainy day in Greece (unusual situation for Greece for the last days of May), a live music concert took place exactly after the final, the cheerleaders were really hot and the spectators couldn’t stop …admiring them, the Mascot danced with the cheerleaders and with the spectators, the Greek champion in free style football Alex Pitsalidis gave a show on behalf of Red Bull, G. Amanatidis and G. Anatolakis, the 2 famous Olympiacos FC, ex-players were invited so as to give the trophy to the winners, etc…
Now, it is miniEURO time! The Greek national team will begin its preparation for the miniEURO 2012 MOLDOVA European finals. This experience will be an amazing one for everybody and especially for all these players who will represent their country in such a big organization.
