Rapid Growth of Tournament Proves Minifootball Is On The Rise In Croatia

The conference hall of a plush hotel in Ivanic Grad was the venue for the draw for the Croatian Minifootball Cup.

In total there were 22 teams in the drum, from all over Croatia, who will take part in the finals.

The amount of teams shows how rapidly minifootball is developing in the country, as only five teams contested the competition last year.

CB LE – IV BRICKS, CB ACADEMIA, MNK KUSTOŠIJA, SUNPROTECT, PRIGOREC , MNK SASIN, ACTIVE COMMERCE, CB FONTANA FITOAGRA, MNK GARAGE CLUB PUBLIC, BEAVER, RACCOON, FC COJONES, HELEN & Mediaeval, ST PETERSBURG, HOTEL SPORT, ĐURĐIC, TAVERNS TARSA, DUKI, MNK NOVICE, SC FLEGAR, DC DUBRAVICA, SIRENA GRILL.

The finals are scheduled to kick off at 9pm, and an awards ceremony will follow.

Croatian Minifootball President Bruno Alpenza could not hide his pride at the event and said:  “We are extremely proud of the fact of that at the state finals will see such a large number of teams from all over the Croatia taking part.

“We are especially looking forward to many teams go many miles to participate in minfootball final and it is a sign that mininfootball has become known in Croatia and that all teams are desperate to take part in the National Finals.

“We just want to grow minifootball in the country and next year
