Elite Futebol 5 & 7 event in Carcavelos – Cascais was held this weekend, where it was possible to witness the best of 5-a-side and 7-a-side football played in Portugal, an event organized and promoted by MyIndoor & Escola Verde Group, in partnership with the Associação Portuguesa MiniFootball (Portuguese Association of MiniFootball) and the Associação Portuguesa de Futebol 7 (Portuguese Association of 7-a-side Football).

The centrepiece of the event was decisive moment of the 3rd season 2014/2015 of the SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 5 and SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 7, which are respectively the official competitions of the associations mentioned above. For the National Finals participated 21 7-a-side Football teams and 9 5-a-side Football teams, who won the regional editions of its leagues, travelling to Carcavelos to compete for the title of national champion. The SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 5 big winner was the Anubis & Aromas team, from Leiria, after beating in the final the Forças Segurança Unidas, from Oporto. On the 7-a-side it was Florgrade of Vila Nova de Gaia, which was crowned national champion after winning the M-Team, from Coimbra.

Also in this two-day event, was held the first observation bootcamp for the MiniFootball National team, that will represent Portugal in MiniEuro in Croatia in September 2015, competition that marks the first presence of Portugal in MiniEuro. According to the coach Joaquim Serafim (Quim) – Former player and coach in the First League in the service of Vitoria Setubal – the group made up of players of the SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 5 e SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 7 “is strong and gives promises of a good campaign in the MiniEuro ahead. ”

Also on Elite Futebol 5 & 7 event there was the 2nd Masters Football 7 tournament including teams like Sporting Lisbon, Belenenses, Estoril, Vitória Setúbal and União Leiria, with the participation of former professional players. The Masters tournament Football 7 was attended by renowned former players like Fernando Mendes (former Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, FC Porto and Portuguese National Team) Carlos Xavier (former Sporting Lisbon and Portuguese National Team), João Oliveira Pinto (Under-20 World Champion by Portugal National Team) Hélio Sousa (Under-20 World Champion by Portugal National Team and current Under-20 Portugal National coach), among many others. The winning team was Vitoria Setubal, like on the 1st edition, who benefited from the best player of the tournament Hélio Sousa and the best Goalkeeper Marco Tábuas performances, earning the victory in the final against Estoril.

Both the Masters Football 7 as the Finals of the SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 5 and SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 7, had live national TV broadcast with a 8 hours transmission that also covered all the important moments of the event.

According to the organizers, the event was again a success and exceeded all the targets.
