A long summer season is already at the end, more than 500 teams played in different leagues for victories, emotions and fun. Now Germany expects the highlight of the summer: The National Championship, called “Koenigsklasse” on Saturday, 7th July in Goettingen.
From Bremen in the North to Freiburg in the South, from Cologne in the West to Leipzig in the East: 25 qualified teams compete for qualification for the miniEuro 2012 in Moldova. The winner receives the ticket to Chisinau.
From 11:00 a.m. the teams play in the Jahnstadion of Goettingen, which has got a capacity of over 17.000. The preliminary rounds will be held on several artificial turf pitches though. Every participant is looking forward to a great tournament on a high level. Felix Petermann, co-captain of Undisputed FT from Brunswick, says: “We qualified within the last second for Goettingen. That’s great! ”. His opponent from Cologne, Sascha Gäbelein (Dumm kickt gut) is excited, too: “We are highly motivated! After some second places in the past it is now time for a title!” Although his team has some injured player he is pretty optimistic.
In a few days we will know who will represent Germany in Chisinau in September. All information about the National Championship at http://www.koenigsklasse.uni-liga.com.
