The Greek coach who manages the National team for second year gave a Press Conference where he spoke about the goals of the Greek Team for this year. The training period starts in about 1 week and everybody wanted to hear his words. He focused on the challenge of the Team after miniEURO 2013 which was held in Greece and on the positive energy that his players still have, One year later, which will be very important for their new challenge in Israel.
“For the administration and for me, the preparation period has already started and we want to represent our country in the best possible way in Eilat. Two years ago I accepted the challenge of managing this team without knowing what would really follow; believe me if I knew, I would have only one dream: to be in my position! So you don’t have to ask me how motivated I feel.”
“This year, the process of selecting the final roster was an extremely difficult situation for me, but I had to choose and I had to make some great players feel sad. Last year our roster included 18 players, but this year it was decided to go with a smaller and more solid squad, so I had to do it. I can say that me and my players will have studied much more our opponents and the “traps” of the tournament… We will be much more confident for our skills and our potential”
“The support of the fans in Rethymno, was unforgettable and we keep them in our heart. We felt one whole Minifootball stadium with more than 5.000 spectators singing and getting passionate for us and with us. We keep this feeling for this year and we will try to make these people and hundreds thousands of TV spectators much happier…”
“The first stage of the training period starts in July 12th and lasts until July 23rd and will include two friendly matches. In September we will have one more friendly match and the final stage will take place by November 13th until November 20th when we will travel to Tel Aviv and then to Jerusalem and Eilat. Our dream starts and we will give everything we have in order to make the Greeks happy.”
