The Greek National Team was presented with its brand new kit yesterday and everybody hopes that it will bring much luck to miniEURO 2014!
After the successful performance of the Greek Team in miniEURO 2013, the squad begins the new training period full of dreams and ambitions for the upcoming miniEURO. A special event took place in Athens, where the new outfit of the team was presented to the media and the main sponsors of the team spoke to the media through their representatives.
The Brand Manager of N’JOY (chocolate milk that belongs to FAGE Company), Miss Maria Gourgourini, spoke about the support of the company to the Panhellenic Championship N’JOY UNI-League which holds the name sponsorship too. The minifootball and the N’JOY brand are strongly connected over many years and the National Team is one more proof of this relationship. The company aims to some high human ideals and these ideals follow perfectly both the N’JOY UNI-League and the Greek National Team. The N’JOY will be the brand in the front side of the jersey, as it was the previous year too.
The Vice President of OB (ORBIT, one the biggest logistics Companies in Eastern Europe), Mr Apostolos Tzimourtas, spoke about the spread of his company in Europe and made a nice comment about Romania and the engagement of the Romanian partners of his Company in the sport of Minifootball since, they are the “Minifootball Kings of Europe”. He mentioned that inside the company, miniEURO 2013 was an everyday discussion subject during those days. In addition to this, he said that Minifootball is the most popular sport in Europe, since everybody plays it, and it was normal that his company supports the Greek National Team and wants to be a proud sponsor of the team. The OB logo will be the brand on the left sleeve of the jersey.
The Marketing Director of UMBRO, Mr. George Sabatakakis analyzed all those important reasons that made his company to support the Greek National Team with a 3year contract, until 2016. He said that it took them less than 1 hour to decide to be there, as a proud sponsor of the Greek Team as Umbro is always connected to some of the most important football symbols, teams, clubs etc, For example, during the last 60 years Manchester United, National English Football Team, Roberto Carlos etc.
The new jersey of the team which is designed by Umbro, uses the highest technology in order to follow the needs of the players at the top level. Finally, he said that Umbro always supports amateur sports and many well organized clubs or events which represent Greece abroad.
