Championship in Montenegro was established in 2011, when Nebojša Kraljević and Rašo Vučetić with the big support from Dragan Bozović and Srđan Bozović, started to organize the first championship in Montenegro. Of course, all the games were played on artificial grass at Sport Centre in downtown Podgorica (capital city).
In this year′s competition 22 teams and over 300 players from Podgorica and outside areas participated.
Montenegro was accepted as a new European Minifootball Federation member only a week before the championship finals, and the organizers invited EMF Secretary General Bruno Alpeza to be our guest on the final day and to give medals to the champion team.
“Organizers from Montenegro made a vast effort to become a member of the European Minifootball Federation during last month and I congratulate them. It is a great pleasure to be here in Podgorica and to welcome Montenegro in the European minifootball family. Congratulations to the new champions, team Pljevlja 04, and also fot the runners up team CK Podgorica on a great final game”, said EMF Secretary General Bruno Alpeza during his visit in Montenegro.
