Anyone who played a team sport knows how difficult it is to be in the best shape for a whole competition. If in minifootball to score at all is difficult, then to score in every game is something quite extraordinary.
However, this unprecedented performance was achieved in Romania in AlbaCounty by George Talnar, the son of the international famous Romanian footballer Cornel Talnar, who scored against every team in the local minifootball league. His father was capped 6 times in the Romanian national football team between 1979 and 1981. After he retired, Cornel Talnar was the head coach of different football teams in the first Romanian league.
George Talnar is also the local competition organizer, but this didn’t stop him playing with passion and scoring in all stages of the competition, despite teams attempting to stop him from setting this extraordinary record.
But minifootball is a team game and his team deserves special mention, because in the last game of the championship, played against the second best team, RMC24 won without him on the field. This is a highly competitive championship, one which will continue with an exciting play-off that brings together the best eight teams divided in two groups.
Congratulations to George! We are looking forward to seeing both him and his team as he bids to be the most valuable striker to play in National Championship or in Romanian Minifootball Cup. And of course, to admire the goals scored by him!
