Croatia’s Ivan Smok opened the scoring against England in the next game.

Both Bruno Piskac and Tin Prpic struck in the second half to make it a rout, before England’s Scott Cousins pulled a goal back late in the game. However, Anton Hercigonja added a 4th in the last minute of the match. The 4:1 victory provided the top place for Croatia in Group F.

Luxemburg entered Wednesday’s game hoping to restore some pride following the 11:0 defeat against Moldova in the first round. Quickly they were undermined as Germany were leading with 7 goals already at the end of the opening half.

Luxemburg’s José Alberto Rodrigues Da Fonseca got a straight red card in the 28th minute, leaving his team with only 4 players for a while. At the end, Germany bagged 7 more, unanswered goals in the second half, making it a 14:0 win.

Slovenia enjoyed a superb start against Turkey. The team in all white scored two excellent goals during the first 10 minutes of the game, and kept the two-goal lead until the break.

At the beginning of the second half, Slovenia still had full control of the game. Rok Rednak and Bostjan Klemencic were on target as Slovenia eased to a 4:0 lead. In the 35th minute Ogulcan Yetis grabbed a late goal for Turkey. The final score was 4:1, meaning Slovenia came out on top of Group A, while Hungary ended up in the second place.

Scotland met Ukraine in the last game of the day. Scotland were put ahead in the 15th minute by Joe Andrew, but Ukraine levelled with Igor Kladov’s goal before the teams left for the break.

Scotland were in front once again, with a two-goal lead, by the 30th minute. Their lead stayed until the end of the game that was finished with a 3:1 Scottish win.
