EMF has officially begun to work on introducing “walking football” to EMF members through a new project co-funded by the European Union.
Walking Football is a variant of minifootball which aims to deliver health-enhancing physical activity to people over the age of 50 years old, as well as provide opportunities to increase social inclusion levels allowing them to lead a physically and socially active lifestyle.
The new project which is co-funded by the European Union, is a collaborative partnership led by EMF together with the Bulgarian Football Union, EFDN, Comenius University – Bratislava and MSV Basketball which is co-develop walking basketball.
The kickoff meeting was held in Prague today with representatives of all the partner organizations, in which the project objective and timelines were presented and discussed.
