Preparations are well underway for the UK and Ireland National 6 a side football Championships, which Association Soccer (soon to be UK Mini Football) is proud to be involved with.
On July 7th, in the shadow of Villa Park, Birmingham – one of the most prestigious football venues in the world – around 300 of the best 6 a side football teams in the British Isles will battle it out to see who takes the crown as outright champion of champions.
Following last years tournament, which showcased all that is best in 6 a side football in the UK and Ireland, this year’s unique one day event will be even better.
Teams are already clamouring to join – with some already in serious training!
The day itself is modelled on the European Championships and will see each team guaranteed three games in the group stages, with the top two in each group progressing to a knockout competition. The eventual winners will receive a holiday abroad.
The tournament this year will be bigger than ever and more than 10 times the amount of teams have signed up compared to this time last year!
