What awaits Czech representation in calendar year 2013?

Everything will be directed to the October miniEURO in Greece. So at the end of August we will have a training camp in Osvětimany, then in early September in Český Dub. We also plan a friendly match in Croatia, which will be a rehearsal before the European Championship.“

Wouldn´t it be better to organize more trainings for players to be well  coordinated?

That would obviously be better, but we must remember that this is still an amateur sport. All players have football, futsal, some of them already have families and for each event, including the very miniEURO, they must take a vacation and make free time for it. That´s why it´s not possible to meet more often and for longer periods of time.

Do you already have complete nomination of players for training camps and the subsequent miniEURO?

We already have a reasonable idea of the players that will make up the squad. Players come from minifootball Associations in Milovice, Most, Jihlava and Kopřivnice. I will add some names of the players from Brno and Luděk Zelenka, our General Manager, will nominate players from Prague, respectively the rest of Bohemia. We also looked out for some players to Final four in Milovice.

How different will be the composition of the national team this year compared to last year? Is it possible to take 12 completely different players instead of those who represent Czech team in Moldova?

Certainly we take into account players who were at previous championships, but nobody will go to Greece without confirming his quality. So there is also possibility that completely new team will be assembled.

Czech team finished first in 2010, second in 2011 and third last year. It is due to the fact that their performance goes down, or level of European teams rises?

I don´t want to make any excuses, but I think the level is rising year by year. As a coach of our national team, I am able to compare efficiency of the others and I have to say, for example, that matches with Romania and Montenegro on the European Championship in Moldova were very difficult and in addition the other teams are catching up with us. The competition is really growing and will become increasingly harder to make good results in the future.

With such ambitions will Czech team travel to Greece? Do you have some conditions by your management, for example to win a medal?

Nothing like that, but we dont need that type of motivation anyway. We always go to the European Championship with highest ambitions and even this year will be no exception. I hope we put together good team full of good players and try our very best to win a trophy in Greece.
