The first League of football fans of Kazakhstan was founded in Spring, 2003, in Almaty city. What has to be, will definitely be invented! Check this out: football fans of Almaty used to ping-pong the ball, organizing neighborhood games from time to time, but suddenly it dawned on someone that it was necessary to unite (Oleg Prekrasnov, Vitaly Fomichev, Nazar Ismailov and their colleagues). It was decided to organize something similar to the Russian Tournament of neighborhood teams. And the process was initiated! News about LFF soon spread to the entire Southern capital city; nowadays, the League includes more than 100 teams.

In the Autumn of 2009, an enthusiastic football fan participating in LFF of Almaty city, Jarylkassinov Yerlan, decided to found in the capital city of our Republic the “League of Football Fans of Astana city” Public Association (hereinafter referred to as “LFF of Astana city”). First season in Astana city gathered only 6 teams, but in the following two years the number of teams increased; it has become so popular that in next season we plan to divide the tournament into Leagues “A”, “B”, “C”, with 16 teams within every League. Following the results of every season, winners will go to the Southern capital city for friendly sparring; after that they will only have to enjoy their victory.

The main purpose of “LFF of Astana city” PA is popularization of minifootball in the capital city through the organization of mini-tournaments among football fans, student football competitions and through development of nonprofessional football.

Tasks of our project include explanation, promotion and introduction of a healthy lifestyle to the population by bringing together people of different nationality, age, social status in football tournaments sponsored by LFF of Astana city.

”Nowadays, our plans stipulate organization and conduction of such tournaments not only in Astana city, but also in other cities of our country; in this way our Public Association aims to make its contribution into implementation of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev about development of sport in our country”, said Jarylkassinov Yerlan, the President of the Minifootball Association in Kazakhstan.
