The minifootball season of the N’JOY UNI-League started in 10 cities in Greece and everybody is already on fire! In Athens, as expected, the number of the teams is large and Thessaloniki comes second in terms participants.
These cities count for about the 60% of the total number of teams on national level. However, the interest is not just confined to those places and the competition will be taking place in other cities, such as Heraklio, Rethymno, Patra, Volos, Ioannina and Chalkida. Two new cities, Kozani and Larisa will start their season immediately after the Christmas vacations period.
In the Athens competition AO Mykonou vs Agrimia was one of the most fantastic games of the first day. The final 7-7 shows that it was a great match and the result was really fair. Same was the score between two other teams, Flouminense – Fifty Fifty. Both teams are very experienced in the tournament and are considered as some of the favorites to qualify even in quarter finals. Of course, it is extremely early to make such predictions, because many things may change during the next months, but still they are big names. Partaliakos scored 16 goals against Partuzan (16-0) and that was the biggest score until now. Another amazing match, was the one between the Korinthians and Real Math where the final score was 6-8. The game was very tough and tight untill the last moment and both teams had almost equal possibilities to take the win. During the last minutes of the match, Real Math seemed to be able to keep the score and finally took the win.
Next week will be the last one before the Christmas break of two weeks and after that, January will be the most important month for the teams and their standings.
