Slovak minifootball association will host another minifootball event

EMF Nations Games

After EMF EURO 2022, Slovakia will host another prestigious event in 2023. The EMF Nations Games will take a place from 7th to 8th of May in Galanta. In the south-west of Slovakia, we will be watching 6 countries that have achieved quite solid results in recent years, perform their best.

We are back in Galanta

Back in 2019, the EMF Nations Games were also held in Galanta. It was the first event of this type of tournament. 4 years ago, the fans were able to see the national teams of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and England. That year belonged to the Czechs who took the gold home with them. Slovaks were second and Hungarians third. Now, the organizer has done an excellent job and this event will become more international.

Group A will be very interesting to watch. Galanta will welcome Bulgaria, the bronze medalist from the European Championships. Hungary will also be hungry for another success. They were 6th at the previous EMF EURO and 4th at the last World Championships. Non-European minifootball will be represented by the team from the USA which ended up in the last 16 at the previous World Championships.

Teams of Romania, England and the host country Slovakia will compete in Group B. The Romanians are the current vice-champions from the EMF EURO 2022 which was also held in Slovakia. England ended their EMF EURO journey in the last 16, when they were beaten by the Czech Republic. The Slovaks made it to the quarter-final, but lost to the Romanians final opponent, Azerbaijan.
