From now on some of Germany’s best minifootball players will look desperately in their mailbox, since last Wednesday the first part of the scouting tour ended with a visit to Erfurt. Overall, more than 60 players had the opportunity to show their skills to the coaching staff in an intense training session.
Now it is time to pick the best 24 players and invite them to the last training camp. “To watch good players compete against other good players is very important to us” said head coach Mueller who attempts to find a good balance for his team. “Quickness, technique, strength – all that is important and equally important is the character. In a tournament you need the right players for every match and every situation,” he describes the player profile required.
In August the squad for miniEURO will be nominated as part of the last training camp. The invitations for the course will be send out within the next seven days – meaning another week of anxiously awaiting mail…….
