2025 Champions of Europe, Nova Vita Targu Mures, set alight this years tournament with a scintillating performance in the Spanish sunshine, beating Stripes FC 13-0.
The second biggest win of the day came from their fellow countrymen, Tazmannschaft Bucharest, who hit 8 unanswered goals past a young and inexperienced Corps IPS Novi Sad, to put down their marker for the title.
The biggest shock of the day was when Aznur Baku, one of the teams tipped to potentially win the trophy, lost both of their opening 2 matches (2-0 v FC Sokil Warsaw & 3-2 v Bucovina Badeuti London), and they will now head back to the Azerbaijani capital after tomorrow’s final group game.
The Private Rooftop Budapest will top that group of death after wins against Bucovina and FC Sokil, and it will take a very good team to beat the Hungarians.
Home favourites, Ortega Twins FC Malaga, shown their dominance on home soil with a comfortable 6-2 victory over Turkish side, Mes Yapi FC Eskisehir to the delight of the home support.
It was a good opening day for the Bulgarian pair of AFC Malki Strasti Sofia & Krasiko Burgas as they won 3-0 & 1-0 respectively against IT Kazakhmys and Tropa Do Morro Porto.
A floodlight failure put paid to the final matches of the night but we will pick up where we left off at 8am tomorrow when we’ll find out which teams will make it through to the knockout stages and which will be heading back home, make sure you join us live for all the action.
