While the Easter holidays took place in Europe, Israel celebrated the Jewish holiday of Passover for an entire week. During this one week holiday, Football-State, The Israeli minifootball association affiliated to the EMF, organized a special week of nationwide tournaments.
The sunny, but not too hot weather was perfect for minifootball and many of the matches were played at night under the floodlights. 72 teams played in 12 different tournaments of six teams each. The matches were played on artificial grass pitches in Haifa, Tel Aviv and Hulon.
Some of the best players have caught the eyes of the Football-State managers who are about to kick start the selection of the national team that will go to play in the EMF miniEURO in Moldova, coming this September.
