Montenegro had a bit of luck in first minutes when Thamm’s header just touched the bar and went out. Dejan Mirotić then was a hero when he slided before Evers who took a shot. After that even Yaglioglu tested Mirotić who squeezed his shot in corner. First clear chance for Montenegro came from  Vuković five minutes before the half time break, but Reck managed to send his shot out of net. Three minutes later Montenegro scored, Vuković outwitted German defense. In the dying moments of first half, MrÄ‘enović made a misjudgment and a leveler came from from Evers. Goran Drobnjak had best chance for Montenegro in the opening moments of the first half but continued with bad luck in this tournament. In 25th minute RistiÄ gave lift to Montenegro with a lucky shot from distance. Florian Thamm leveled just three minutes later and Alibabi couldnt put himself on scorers list in the next attack. In shootout Germans, hold their nerves and capitalized on two misses from MiloÅ¡eviÄ and Goran Drobnjak.

Slovenia and Kazakhstan played a firm game of mini football, taking care of defense in first place. In game without many chances, the biggest was for Slovenia in 33th minute when Zorko came close but Kazakhstan goalie was brave enough to slide and keep clean sheet. In shootout Nejc Komidar saved two penalties and lifted Slovenia to semifinal.

In a game of two different halves Scotland managed to pull back from two goals behind, but Romania had their share towards the end of the match. Chivu managed to net a difficult ball into excellent McIntyre’s goal and sent Scotland home.

Croatia had two goal advantage in first half with great shots from Ivan Ran Äić and Zoran Lukaveki but switched off in second. They had everything in maybe best game of the tournament, steady lead, fair share of ball and good leadership skills from goalkeeper MaleÅeviÄ who was rock solid after some chances for Czech, In the second half, just two minutes were enough to change the game. Ondrej Pandera and Robin Demeter provided individual skills and scored goals to equalise. Then Bozidar Karamatic scored from distance but Pandera replied four minutes later. In shootout Croatia didn’t score from the spot and gave clear path for Czech to go to semifinal.
