Portuguese Training Camp Takes Place

The latest training camp for the Portuguese national team took place on the 5th and 6th of September in Troia Resort in Tróia (Portugal).

The Portuguese Minifootball Association (Associação Portuguesa MiniFootball) team, used the two day exercise to prepare for the next miniEURO in Vrsar, Croatia.

The camp of the team that is led by National Coach Sandro Mendes (former player of FC Porto, V. Setúbal, Villarreal, among others), featured a full programme of fieldwork and analysis of audiovisual material, looking for the most efficient way to integrate all 12 invited players from the competitions SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 5 and SuperLiga Nacional Futebol 7, the Associação Portuguesa MiniFootball official leagues.

The camp also integrated two practice games with a team of Asociacion Española de MiniFutbol (Spanish MiniFootball Association). Portugal beat Spain in both legs, the first by 6-0 and the second by 6-2.

According to the Associação Portuguesa MiniFootball (Portuguese MiniFootball Association), the preparation of the team is on track and the next and final preparation camp will be held in Lisbon on 19 and 20 September, prior to the journey of the team for Croatia.
