The City of Modiin, situated between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, is the newest venue for minifootball tournaments in Israel. Modiin is one of the fastest growing cities in Israel with a population of 100,000. Until now minifootball teams from the city had to travel 30 km to Tel Aviv to play in tournaments and leagues, but since the launch of a new football pitch in the city, the tournaments have come closer to home. “Simshoni” field is a brand new facility with artificial grass and full floodlights. The pitch is expected to host around 20 teams from Modiing and the surroundings.
With the addition of this new venue, minifootball in Israel is expected to grow even larger this summer with the National Championship which will begin in mid July.
