MASCOT uses public engagement actions such as challenges, quizzes, mascot activities and event visibility to connect supporters with practical sustainability messages.

MASCOT is bringing sustainability closer to supporters through public engagement actions connected to minifootball events and community activities. These actions are designed to make environmental responsibility visible, participatory and easy to understand.

The project’s public engagement approach includes mascot-related activities, the Mini Goes Veggie challenge, promotion of ball-repair practices, sustainability quizzes, surveys and other event-based actions. The purpose is not only to inform people, but also to invite them to take part in the project narrative.

By using simple and visible activities, MASCOT helps supporters and young people connect sustainability with everyday choices. This reflects the project’s core message that behavioural change becomes easier when it is practical, social and engaging.

The public engagement actions also support EMF’s communication around major minifootball activities. Visual storytelling, social media content, event photos, short videos and live communication can help multiply the reach of the project and strengthen awareness among audiences beyond the event venue.

EMF will document these activities through photos, social media records, website updates, analytics summaries and public communication materials. The evidence will contribute to the project’s monitoring and final dissemination reporting.
