The MASCOT local workshop connects minifootball, civic organisations, education stakeholders and local partners around practical sustainability measures.

MASCOT has carried out a local workshop bringing together sport, civic and community stakeholders to discuss how sustainability can be applied in practical sport environments. The workshop supported the project’s aim to connect minifootball with wider organisations and local actors.

The activity presented the MASCOT approach, including the project’s sustainability logic, the Race to Sustainability Toolkit, training materials and examples of greener event practices. Participants discussed how these ideas can be adapted by clubs, local organisations, education stakeholders and public partners.

The local workshop also supported MASCOT’s dissemination objective of reaching beyond the minifootball community. By engaging external stakeholders, the project strengthens transferability and encourages replication in other sport and community settings.

The workshop underlined that sustainability in sport is not limited to major events. It can be advanced through everyday decisions, visible communication, cooperation with local partners and practical tools that make greener behaviour easier to adopt.

Agenda records, attendance evidence, presentation materials, evaluation summaries and photos will form part of the workshop evidence package. These materials will support the final reporting to EACEA and help EMF demonstrate the project’s local and European added value.
