The final phase of Italian Soccer League National Championship in Vis Pesaro Stadium (1-3th June 2012) offered a variety of emotions to the public: the winner was Piemonte, after a match with palpitation against the Liguria team. It′s a considerable pleasure for our association to remember the path that the Guarnieri team took, Piemonte′s standard bearer in Minifootball having 8 players together with other two teams, People and M.G.P. Vinovo.
The Guarnieri Team confirmed its position as champion. On a lukewarm and windy afternoon, the final match was played between Guarnieri and Liguria′s team, Hale Boop of La Spezia, led by Gianfranco Polese. The captain Fabrizio Salvatore Penna was the ladder of Guarnieri team, supported by young athletes like Valentino Valentini, Cristian Pergola, Giampiero Pinna, Francesco Leuci, Leonardo Grillo, Christian Costante, the ″bomber″ Emanuele Marinaro and Francesco Damiano, and also by veterans like Rosario Schiliro.
The first goal was signed by Marinaro: a torpedo fired in the top corner of the goalposts. One minute before the end of match, Hale Boop equalized with a broadside from midfield. The result was determined by penalty kicks: the Team manager Penna kicked the decisive goal. The conditions for building a competitive national team are all there: we are sure that in the Moldova′s European Minifootball championship, the Italian team will put on an excellent performance!
