The Irish National team is delighted to announce that they have made three key appointments to the backroom staff as they look to continue building towards miniEURO this autumn.
This week they have announced that Donnie Fox will be taking the role of team physio, Mark O’Connell will become Strength and Conditioning Coach and Chris Daly will assume the position of Operations Manager.
Irish Minifootball President Declan Ford welcomed all three men to the fold and said the three newly created roles will carry on the improvement in infrastructure that will see the team thrive in future competitions: “The team used their first miniEURO experience in Rethmyno in the autumn as a learning experience and learnt a lot about what is required. Since the competition we have appointed a coaching team that can really move things forward, they have implemented weekly training sessions on Friday nights and now these additions can only help.”
For Chris Daly it represents a change of role. He has three caps for his country, having played in all their games in miniEURO2013, but the experience he has gained from this will help in his new more hands-off role.
The team continue their training sessions tonight at Dublin Indoor Football Centre.
