Former professional footballer, now sports commentator, Luděk Zelenka has joined up with FC Český Dub and marketing agency AFEU are introducing minifootball tournament called Zelencup. The tournament will take place under the patronage of Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR) and the Association of minifootball in the Czech Republic (AMF ČR).
Date: 21. – 23. 06. 2013
Venue: Podještědský sports complex in Český Dub. In addition, matches of the group phase (Saturday, 22.06.) will be played in Bohumileč, Osečná and Rozstání as well.
Teams: among several teams of celebrities, the exotic Takoradi team composed entirely of international players, will be playing. Also, Based on the partner program teams from Poland and Germany will take part.
The system is conceived for up to 120 teams, which are divided into 30 groups, each group of four teams. The group phase will be played by a round robin system. The first and the second team advance to the next stage (12 groups of four teams) and then play a round robin system. These groups matches will play out on Sunday just in Český Dub and Bohumileč, the top two teams from each group will advance again. This means that it will remain 24 teams in the tournament. Out of these the best 8 teams will advance directly to the quarterfinals. The remaining 16 will play against each other and next eight teams will advance to the quarterfinals. After that, tournament will continue with the classic play – off.
Prices: the tournament is played for prizes with a total value of CZK 300.000,- (about EUR 12.000,-)
First place: financial bonus CZK 20.000,- + prizes worth CZK 40.000,-
Second place: financial bonus CZK 10.000,- + prizes worth CZK 30.000,-
Third place: financial bonus CZK 5.000,- + prizes worth CZK 20.000,-
Fourth place: financial bonus CZK 4.000,- + prizes worth CZK 15.000,-
The best player, goalie and scorer will all receive prizes worth a total of CZK 8.000,-.
