The fifteen best players of Polish Minifootball Championship were nominated to the squad of Poland national minifootball team.
Fifteen players were selected by four top scouts, who watched all the matches of Nike Playarena League tournament: Marek Citko (10 caps and 2 goals in Poland national football team), Radosław Gilewicz (10 caps in Poland national football team, top scorer of Austrian Bundesliga in 2000/2001 season), Stefan Majewski (40 caps in Poland national football team, ex-coach of Poland national football team) and Tomasz Smokowski (football commentator in Canal Plus).
Players who took part in Nike Playarena League tournaments thought about the final score, about winning every single match. “What the scouting team wanted to see on the pitch was individual skills, teamwork, football intelligence. Some players just stood out, few of those whom we have chosen have skills enough to play in T-Mobile Ekstraklasa,” (the Polish league) Marek Citko commented.
Here are the 15 players chosen to be Poland national minifootball team:
- Goalkeepers: Mateusz Szpiczko (Grajki Białystok), Damian Biernacki (Flying Dragons Łódź).
- Defensive Players: Kamil Fryszka (Bad Boys Szczecin), Wiktor Żytek (Dzbany Łódź), Oliwier Sinkowski (FC Wembley Łódź), Adrian Filipiak (Retkinia Crew Łódź), Cezary Szałek (Bestia Team Police), Mateusz Potoczny (The Cyborgs Ruda Śląska).
