The Greek National team worked for about 12 days during the heart of the summer period. It was a very hard process for everyone and especially for the players who just finished a very difficult season and needed some rest but did not have the time to recuperate.

The Greek National Team used 15 players in the trainings and the final roster now includes 13 of them. The trainings took place in Agios Kosmas Sports Centre which is located in the general Sport Facilities of all National Greek Teams (in various sports). The schedule included  training sessions every day, apart from one day off, a media day, a fashion event for Umbro, tactics through video lessons and two friendly matches.

Alexis Karatis who is the player with the most games in the history of the team was injured during the first friendly match against Yperion and missed the last five days of trainings. In general, the team is based on the last year’s roster with only 3 new players that have impressed and will take the team forward. The new players are Spyros Nicolaou from Ioannina League, George Andreopoulos and Socratis Ntouvlis from Athens League of the N’JOY UNI-League.  The 10 players that continue for second year in the team are Giannis Antzouris (Volos league),  Chrysnathos Lefkaritis, Leonidas Papadopoulos (Thessaloniki League), Alexis Karatis, Vaggelis Giatis, Nikos Kammenos, Dimitris Karavidas, Dimitris Leventis (Athens League), and the 2 goalkeepers George Chatziminas (Thessaloniki) and Paschalis Xanthos (Athens).

The first friendly match was a draw and ended with the score 2-2 (against Yperion) and the second match was a good win (8-3) against Olympiada Agias Paraskevis. Both teams play in the Futsal league in Greece and played of course with the Minifootball 6 aside rules in order to help the preparation of the National Greek Team of Minifootball.

In addition to the previously announced sponsors of the Greek National team (Umbro, N’JOY and Orphee Beinoglou) a new one was added just a few days before the official beginning of the training of the team and this sponsor is Spirulina Marcus Rohrer (Aggelika Elovari SA) that is also advertised through the National Players. Sponsorship issues are always important for the EMF on National and International Level.
