Minifootball in Montenegro is more popular than football and futsal.
In first year, we succeeded to bring together 22 teams from 3 Montenegrin towns. The best quality league teams were Pljevlja 04 and CK Podgorica. In the final game Pljevlja won 5:3. League was conducted in a fair and sporting competition. The media have reported about the league, and national television attended the final match and interviewed Mr. Bruno Alpeza, the General Secretary of European Minifootball Federation.
After completion of the league, the tournament started with 20 teams.
We will mention more about this tournament next time. We have begun preparations for next season, and we are going through the final negotiations for the inclusion of several cities in the Montenegrin league. Interest is currently high, especially due to the integration of Montenegro in the EMF.
