The seventh game of the day started as the Romanian players lined up on the pitch to shake hands with the Lithuanian team.

It was Romania that made their early first half pressure pay and struck an excellent opener in the 9th minute. Fans of the reigning champions did not have to wait long to cheer Romania’s second goal of the game as Gabriel Tanase put his name on the scoresheet as well in the 12th minute. The teams left for the break with Romania still enjoying the two-goal lead (2:0).

In the second half Lithuania missed several gilt-edged chances and failed to turn their dominance into goals until the 37th minute. A last-second free-kick awarded to Lithuania provided an exciting end to the entertaining battle, but Pavelas Smolkovas’s kick was stopped by the Romanian wall.

Romania is currently standing on top of Group D with six points after the 2:1 win.

Bosnia & Herzegovina and Scotland were greeted by a growing crowd as they walked onto the pitch for the next game. Andreas Berovic’s goal in the 12th minute put his team in yellow ahead. Bosnia & Herzegovina kept the 1:0 lead until the end of the first half.

Scotland started the second half in a defensive manner, but failed to take their chances. With the scoreline still standing at 1:0 in the 35th minute, Scotland desperately wanted a goal. At the end Josip Kupreškić scored in the stoppage time making it 2:0.

With the win Bosnia & Herzegovina is currently topping Group H, while Scotland needs Slovakia to lose on Thursday to have a chance to advance to the knockout stage.

Up next were England against Greece. After 12 minutes of play England were leading with one goal and they managed to keep the lead for the rest of the first half.

Greece was trying to take full control of the game after the restart. And the second half of the exciting battle soon became an end to end game with both teams creating multiple scoring chances. At the end it was Lucas Toti’s goal in the 41st minute that secured England a 2:0 victory.
