Roads to the final was tough for both participants. Penalties were the flavour of the day again for Romania as they won their second successive game from the spot.

„It is very good feeling. It has been a while we played in the final match and this really feel great. We did again after penalties, so maybe it is luck, maybe we practice penalties very well. Bulgaria has a lot of quality so it was very tough game for us,“ said Razvan Dumitru Radu.

He is actually three times european champion with Romania and dreams about number four. For Romania, they’re no strangers to a final, and they will be hoping to make it Euro title number 7 today evening against Azerbaijan, who they faced in their group and defeated 2-0.

„Yeah, we played against Azerbaijan in the group stage and we won so we are confident to do it again in the final game. Honestly it will be very tough game again,“ added Radu.

Azerbaijan beat Kazakhstan in the semi-final thriller 3-2 after winning goal in 32nd minute by Samir Hamzayev.

„My goal was a team work. We are all happy for it. It is significant feeling to be finalist and I hope we will win the final game. We are happy to play against Romania because we want to prove that first result with Romania was not right. We want to show that we are better than Romanians,“ he said.

It is first time for Azerbaijan in the final so according to Orkhan Huseynov, Azerbaijan General Secretary, they really enjoyed Friday night: „We are very happy because it was a tough fight. I would say it is historical moment for our country, for Azerbaijan, for our team. I believe in our boys and you should count with us in the final match.“
