EMF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2022

Europe’s top club sides will descend on the Seaside town of Montenegro from the 31st of August to the 4th of September as teams from all across Europe gather to compete for the biggest club prize in World Minifootball.

This year’s edition of the EMF Champions League will take place in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. Herceg Novi is a major tourist destination in Montenegro. It is well known as a spa and health centre.
Herceg Novi is located on the seaside coast of the Adriatic Sea, at the entrance of one of the most beautiful bays, fjord, in the world – Boka Kotorska.

Herceg Novi has about 200 sunny days per year. The average temperature in June anges from 15 by night to 31 degrees Celsius by day.

There will be 24 participating teams divided between 6 groups with 4 teams in each group.

The competition will commence with Group Stages (league system), followed by Knock-Out Stages. The top two teams in the Groups will continue to the Knock–Out phase + 4 the best 3rd place teams.

Participation is allowed only for amateur players. The EMF Professional Player Rules apply. There will be a maximum of 20 registered team members (15 players + 5 supporting staff). Unlimited accompanying persons permitted.

  • Match playing time is 2 x 20 min.
  • The pitch size will be 48 x 27 m and for Masters 40 x 20 m.
  • The goal dimensions are 4 x 2 m.
  • Ball size 5
  • 9 substitution players, unlimeted changes

The EMF may adjust the competition system according to the number of participating teams.

A cheque for €2000 is awaiting the winners as well as the EMF Champions League trophy and more importantly, the title of being named the best club team on the continent. €1000 will get the silver medalist and €500 – for the 3rd place awarded team.

The teams will compete in two categories: EMF Champions League and EMF Masters for players above the age of 40. The event for Masters will be held between the 31st of August and the 4th of September.
