The European Minifootball is delighted to announce a giant step forward in our social media output as we extend our presence to include a page on the Vkontakte network.
Vkontakte (which means “in touch”) has nearly 250million users, making it the second largest social media network in Europe after Facebook. It is available in several languages, but it is particularly popular in Russian speaking countries. It is especially well used in nations like Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Belarus – although it has many users in Israel.
The EMF page was set up last month and will be regularly updated, a move which the Chairman of Media Committee, Andy Thorley, said was vital: “As we expand,” he said. “It is absolutely imperative that we are able to include as many countries as possible and that those players are able to share the love of our great sport, this will help them do that.
“We are absolutely delighted to have this page at our disposal.”
