May 6th for Greece was a potentially momentous day, not because of an important minifootball event but because of the national political elections. The financial crisis that exists and grows inside the Greek economy also created a political crisis and actually there are not many things that make the Greeks happy at the moment. However Minifootball is definitely an exception to that.
The biggest national tournament, Ν’JOY UNI-League is about to finish the games before summer and during these weeks the most important matches are taking place in all cities. May 27th is the day of the big Pan-Hellenic Final and the teams are trying very hard in order to win the “golden ticket” for the final in Athens, where the 16 best teams from all over Greece participate. Currently, there are only seven days left for the local finals in each city separately and we all have to wait up to the end so as to see which teams will be the lucky ones who are the best of the best on finals day!
Some days ago, the Organizing Committee of the Ν’JOY UNI-League announced the prizes and gifts that the winners will receive and the quality of these has given all the team even more motivation to succeed before the local finals. However, if you asked the captains of the teams who participate in the knockout games of their cities which is the biggest motivation for them, they will all answer at once: The chance to play in miniEURO 2012 Moldova. Players can’t wait for the event in September and the Greek organizers have already been inundated with questions, such as: “Is there any possibility to watch the miniEURO matches via our laptops with live streaming?”
