It is of great importance to focus on the sponsors who support a sport in each country. Concerning Greece we will take advantage of the lack of games during this period of time (due to the summer vacation) and we will introduce the most important sponsor who gives life to minifootball.
It is the “N’JOY” brand! N’JOY belongs to the FAGE company, the most important dairy industry in Greece. FAGE became popular abroad for the brand “TOTAL” which is a Greek yogurt brand and is being exported to many countries all over the world. FAGE is the largest dairy industry in Greece with more than 80 years of history and experience. FAGE in 1975 launched the first branded yogurt in Greece, changing the landscape of the Greek yogurt market. FAGE improved the image of yogurt by branding and mass-producing it, developing taste consistency and longer shelf life, in conjunction with targeting younger consumers through advertising campaigns. In this way, FAGE turned yogurt into a tasty, modern and essential food. FAGE has one of the most modern dairy production facilities in Europe.
However, it is not the “TOTAL” yogurt that supports minifootball in Greece but “N’JOY”: The chocolate milk for any moment of the day for children and grown-ups. Youthful, entertaining, always close to action and energy! Made from skimmed milk, homogenized and thermally processed by high pasteurization with cocoa and sweeteners.
FAGE supports UNI-League since 2010 and this cooperation was the next step after the support of N’JOY to UNI-Basket that began in 2007. N’JOY gave its name to the brand name of UNI-League, so that’s how the name of the biggest Greek minifootball championship is being promoted: N’JOY UNI-League. N’JOY is the major sponsor of the championship, but not the only one… Many other sponsors (bigger or smaller) support minifootball in Greece and it is really important for the sport because it is a live example of the way that sports marketing is applied to minifootball.
It should be noted here that the national minifootball team is being sponsored too by FAGE (N’JOY) and the logo of N’JOY will appear on the front of the outfit of the players on every official game of the national team. It already happened in Tulcea in 2011 and it will appear again in Chisinau in miniEURO MOLDOVA 2012 in September.
