What a night in Bratislava.
The semi-finals of EMF EURO 2026 produced everything fans could ask for — goals, drama, emotion and a penalty shootout that kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the very last kick.
Ukraine were first to punch their ticket to the final with a stunning 5-1 victory over Hungary. In a performance full of confidence, quality and attacking flair, the Ukrainians showed exactly why they have been one of the tournament’s standout teams. Every attack looked dangerous, every chance seemed to carry a threat, and by the final whistle they had emphatically secured their place in tomorrow’s showpiece.
If the first semi-final was a statement, the second was pure drama.

Azerbaijan and Serbia battled through a tense and fiercely contested encounter that ended 1-1 after regulation time. Neither side was willing to give an inch as two of Europe’s heavyweights traded blows in front of a passionate crowd. With no winner after the final whistle, the match headed to penalties, where Azerbaijan held their nerve to prevail 3-1 and spark wild celebrations.

Now, only two teams remain.
Ukraine arrive in the final on the back of a dominant semi-final display, while Azerbaijan once again proved they have the resilience and championship mentality to survive the biggest moments. One team powered their way through. The other battled through with determination under pressure. Both have earned their place on the grandest stage.
