The official season of N’JOY UNI-League started in 10 Greek cities and more than 250 matches have already taken place since the first week of December. The number of the new teams that registered in 2012-13 is higher than previous years and this factor means that the experienced teams have a big advantage to themselves, especially in the 1st round of the championship where all teams have 7 matches to play. If the experienced teams take advantage of it, they will have the chance to take the 1st or the 2nd position of their group, which will give them the opportunity to have an easier draw in the second round of the championship.
Let’s see what is happening in northern Greece and especially in Thessaloniki, the beautiful city which is called “bride of the North”. The team that has won 3 national trophies (2007, 2009, 2010), “Medisof PC”, has already started showing that it will try to reach the top yet again. Having 2 wins in 2 matches and having already scored 24 goals, it is obvious that no team will have an easy night when it plays against them. “Panakmiakos” and “Larissa City” are the other 2 teams that have succeeded 2 wins in 2 matches in Thessaloniki, however their games were not so easy. Both of them won all games by 1 to 3 goals difference and their defense had some problems. Of course, they are both very good teams. They know that now it is only the beginning and they don’t have to try a lot, but they have to be very careful in their groups if they want to reach the knock out games and if possible the semi-finals. Anyway, it is very early to talk about semi-finals, only 3 weeks after the beginning of the minifootball season.
