Mentally Challenged Teams Play in Israeli Qualification

Next month EMF will organize the first ever international minifootball competition for mentally challenged athletes as part of the Mini4EU festival. Last night in Israel qualification kicked of with 3 mentally challenged teams in very special event.

3 teams of mentally challenged athletes representing 3 different Israeli cities competed in a first of a kind minifootball tournament. Be’er Sheva, Hadera and Rehovot were the cities that took part in the first ever mentally challenged tournament in Israel. The Mini4EU challenged cup qualification tournament is a joint project of the Israeli national minifootball association (football State Israel) and Special Olympics Israel. Honorary guests were the Mayor of Rehovot, Mr. Rahamim Malul, and Israeli top tier football referee Roi Reinshreiber who refereed the matches.

The Hadera team won in league group system and won the title with the ticket to the Mini4EU Challenged cup that will take place in Székesfehérvár between 24-25 September.
